I’m going to nail my colours to the mast here, if we do not extend Ghandours loan for the rest of the season or bring in a forward that can contribute a minimum of 10 goals between now and the end of the season, we will not finish any higher than we are now (14th). At this point I honestly feel like this is unfortunately where we should be based on players and funds and I feel like if we finish anywhere between 12th and 16th and consolidate in the league for another season that will be seen as success. Unless a big pot of money becomes available or finances improve then it’s going to be looking for small increases in position year on year until we’ve built a squad able to challenge.[/quote] And there lies the problem, we aren’t going to build a squad that can genuinely compete at the top end as we chop and change all the time. The squad doesn’t get the opportunity to gel and learn how to play with each other. If success is seen as 12th - 16th then fine, but both Spencer and us supporters were excitedly talking up our chances of improving on last seasons finish at the start of this season and the bookies had us as low as 12/1 to win the league!!! That says a lot about how highly the squad assembled was thought of and the quality of players that had been bought in. For the record, half way through the season we are now 500/1.

Interview with Spencer just up. There was a clause stating that Farnborough had first option to take Pavey back. Woking did not do that so Farnborough will get compensated. Now a record fee for the club.

Now a record fee for the club. Let’s hope he’s true to his word and the money is invested in a proper forward….. Nice to hear Alfie wanted to come back here, maybe we will see him back in yellow next season.

Farnborough Town sold David Leeworthy to Dover for £50,000, but can't recall any sales from Farnborough FC, that have been disclosed, before Pavey.

Won’t be Amartey, downgrade on Folivi and the rumour mill suggested he wasn’t thought well off by Spencer and co when he was on loan last season.
