We're bottom of the table. Results need to be turned around quickly.

Whilst our situation is not good, to say the least!!, there are definite circumstances, apart from those that have been around for years and now considered normal!!, adding to the dilemma.
With absolutely nil, or very little, money coming in to the Club from the Social side of the Club, and players having to drive individually to long away games due to the restrictions, which is tiring and stressful before they start to play!!, there has to be some sympathy for the Ownership/Management for even trying to keep a Club together, on shoestrings that are now very frayed indeed.
I don't blame the players, who I'm sure are of, or close to, the standard required, and have given us small glimpses at times of the potential they have, and none of them go on to the field of play not trying.
There are, probably, questions of Management and coaching, and when hasn't that been the case at Farnborough over the past few years, but that's another story!!
The sad inevitability of it all is, it is what it is, and isn't likely to change in the near future. We all have to live with it and be grateful that there is at least some football, good or bad, to watch, and get our quota of fresh air, even if it is through a bl***y mask.
The alternative is the 'plastic' PL stuff on the telly, and I just can't bring myself to watch the stuff from the other 'out of reality' world!!
See you Saturday.
COME ON YOU YELLOWWSSAA!!

I don't understand why the players can't have a coach for the long away trips. As long as they wear masks it should be no different to any form of public transport or am I missing something.

I would have thought that coach companies would be biting the hand of any potential business that came their way just now, so there ought to be some good deals around!!
Spencer said they took 18 cars to Wimborne last week, and I presume it would have been similar on Saturday to Tiverton.
If expenses are paid, which I presume would mean fuel etc., then 18 times, say even £40 a go, depending on the vehicle, would mean £720 or thereabouts.
Not too far off the cost of a coach I would think, although I haven't priced one for a while!!, and players would arrive relatively fresh!
Surely it must be considered for the Truro trip in December!!!

Bob, please see the post I put on the match thread re transport. Two minibuses made both trips.

Phil, can't get back to Spencer's report as the site is down, and correct me if I'm wrong, but he said that we took 18 cars to Wimborne that night, bemoaning the crazy way of travelling!
Also, will we be taking a coach to Frome for the Trophy match?, and what about Taunton and Truro? Expensive, yes, but it doesn't seem fair on the lads asking them to travel as they have been and then trying to perform on the pitch, with the obvious result!

I think you imagined that bit Bob. Nothing in the post Tunbridge match interview and there wasn't an interview post Wimborne. The transport on the minibusses is offered to the players every game, the seats are no worse than a coach, so not entirely sure what you are saying?

A pedant writes, but it's important for Kent types, we played Tonbridge (ConfSouth), not Tunbridge (Southern Counties East League Premier Division).
