My old Mum always said there'd be frustrating days - and this was one of 'em.
Credit to Weymouth, they were committed, tenacious and put their bodies on the line. A bit over the line with their tackling at times....but they certainly worked for it.
And the break of the ball just wasn't really going our way today. One of those games where if we'd scored first, we'd likely have won comfortably. But they got their noses in front and it gave them something to dig in and defend. And they certainly did, lost count of the number of penalty area blocks they made.
We should still have won it. Lacked a bit of composure and decisiveness with the right option at times. And as for the late penalty, well, always tough taking a second penalty against the same keeper. Hell of a shame but one missed penalty doesn't bring back the hoodoo !
Didn't work out today but it was a good game to watch, the team put a real shift in and we can still see signs of progress. Kuhl was a worthy man of the match but my vote would be for Jordan, brilliant to see him back !

Good game today. We fought back hard and really should have won it.
Keeper went the same way for the pen both times so Olly could well have put it in the same corner, but 20:20 hindsight and all that.
There are also alleged to have been a lot of off-pitch incidents, both verbal and physical, allegedly one that was personally targeted at one of our players.
It should, but clearly can't, go without saying that this is completely and utterly unacceptable and I hope that these people are swiftly found and banned from future football matches in the UK. It needs to be taken that seriously, rather than just restricted to one club.
But back to the football, only Yeovil away on Tuesday! Spencer has made his thoughts on that quite clear in terms of the scheduling and how we need to bounce back from the Chippenham game.

I'll keep it short:
Jack saved us again with a couple of great saves.
Ricky is a real game changer - he lights the blue touch paper and everyone comes alive!
Shocking 2nd pen - who would have guessed that the keeper might dive to where the previous one went.

Disagree with your opinion of Follivi, I thought he had a decent game. Connor Hall on the other still seems to be carrying a lot of timber. Fairly ineffective again Well I diagree about Connor. Thought he held the ball up well and chased down a lot of stuff - on a luckier day he could have had two goals! Whereas the other Connor was hardly involved when he came on. Connor Hall understandably ran out of steam because he hasn't had much game time in recent months. He's still getting up to speed and is doing pretty well. Folivi battled hard too.

Having just seen the highlights I need to correct my earlier post where I was critical of Olly P placing his second pen in the same place as the first. He didn't. It was to the other side, albeit still not a great one as too close to and ideal height for their keeper.
How the ref gave nothing when Folivi was wiped out on the edge of their box escapes me. It could be argued that he didn't have the ball under control but such a reckless foul committed anywhere else on the pitch would surely have warranted a yellow card, if not more...!

Can't believe how much we we peppered the goal, and it just wasn't meant to be was it?
Have to say the second pen was very harsh and we would have been fuming if it had gone against us, so maybe just deserts!!
The wipe out of Michael though was a definite case for VAR!!!, but win some lose some.
They were probably the worst side to have visited this season and, unless some miracles happen, they are Southern League bound, hopefully taking the loony fringe with them, if they get out of Aldershot nick!!

I thought Weymouth looked pretty solid first half and a marked improvement from last season. Second half not so much, we were dominant without converting the chances we created. Dover for me have been the poorest side I’ve seen this season though. Zero chance of staying up with their current squad.
